What is different?

We have implemented Shopunity Installation process to accommodate every installation with dependency support. This means we do not keep all the dependent files in the installation package so that the code does't duplicate or rewrite itself. Also we now do not need to worry about updating every extension, if one of the dependency packages has been updated.

Before installing your extension

1. You first need to install the Shopunity module. Here are the instructions
2. Only after you have installed Shopunity (or it has been already installed) you can start installing the extension.

If your extension is available in the Shopunity market place, you can install it by simply clicking install. 

Installing extension via Extension Installer

1. Download your zip file from the Opencart purchase section
2. Upload via the extension installer
3. Go to Extensions -> modules -> click Install next to your new extension (by Dreamvention)
4. Edit the extension settings and click save.

Installing extension via FTP

1. Download your zip file from the Opencart purchase section
2. Unzip the zip file.
3. Upload all files in folder UPLOAD into the root folder of your opencart via FTP via
4. Go to Extensions -> modules -> click Install next to your new extension (by Dreamvention)
5. Edit the extension settings and click save.

Updating an extension

Updating an extension is usually very much like installing. Usually this is enough. Yet sometimes you will be required to reinstall the extension in the extension modules section of your opecart admin.

If the extension is avaliable in the Shopunity database, you can update it by clicking update button from the Shopunity admin panel in your opencart.

FAQ

Q: I installed the module, yet i see this error

Permission Denied!

You do not have permission to access this page, please refer to your system administrator.

A: You have not installed shopunity. Please first install shopunity extension and activate it so that the OCmod Modification is seen in the modifications section of Opencart and then reinstall you extension. 

Q: How to reinstall my extension

A: Easy, go to admin extension -> modules. Find your extension and click Uninstall and then Install. This will reinstall the extension. 

Q: I have installed shopunity and still my extension is not working

A: You need to install shopunity extension and activate it. This means go do admin extension -> modules. Find Shopunity extension and click INSTALL.

Q: I have installed shopunity and activated it. But i still can't get my extension to work. 

A: For shopunity to work you need to have Internet Access. Without internet, the download of required files will not happen and your extension will not have the dependencies it so much needs. Please turn on internet and redo the installation process in the admin.
